January
- Republic Day (26 Jan): India's grandest national parade at Rajpath (Kartavya Path). Spectacular military displays, folk dances, and a flyover by the Indian Air Force. Arrive by 7 AM for the best views. Tickets available through the government portal.
- Jaipur Literature Festival (late Jan): The world's largest free literary festival. While it's in Jaipur (4 hours from Noida), many Delhi NCR residents make the day trip — or extend it into a weekend. Authors, poets, and thinkers from around the globe.
- Lohri (13 Jan): Celebrated across North India with bonfires, music, and festive food — particularly in Punjabi communities. Hotels and residential complexes across Noida often host community bonfires.
February
- Surajkund International Crafts Mela (1–15 Feb): A massive crafts fair in Faridabad (45 min from Noida) featuring artisans from 20+ countries. Handlooms, pottery, jewellery, folk performances, and incredible regional food stalls. A must-visit for culture enthusiasts.
- Valentine's Week: Noida's restaurants and cafés go all out with special menus and packages. The Wine Company and Olive are particularly popular for romantic dinners.
March
- Holi (March): The festival of colours is celebrated with extraordinary energy in NCR. Organic Holi events at farmhouses in Chattarpur and South Delhi offer safe, family-friendly celebrations with DJs, rain dances, and festive food.
- India Art Fair (late Feb–early Mar): South Asia's premier contemporary art event at NSIC Grounds, Okhla. Galleries from India and abroad showcase cutting-edge works. Single-day tickets are around ₹1,500.

April
- Baisakhi (14 Apr): Marks the Sikh new year. Gurdwaras across NCR host langars (community meals) and cultural programmes. Bangla Sahib Gurudwara in Delhi is an incredible place to experience the festivities.
- Summer Festival Season Begins: Malls and entertainment venues launch summer programming — kids' workshops, summer camps, and special movie marathons.
May–June
- Summer Retreats: As temperatures peak (40°C+), many NCR residents take short getaways to hill stations. Mussoorie, Nainital, and Shimla are all 6–8 hours by road. But for those staying in Noida, the air-conditioned malls and indoor entertainment become the social hubs.
- World Environment Day (5 Jun): Tree-planting drives and clean-up events across Noida. The Noida Authority and local RWAs organise community events.
July–August

- Independence Day (15 Aug): Flag-hoisting ceremonies at Red Fort, televised nationally. Local Noida events include cultural programmes at the Noida Stadium and community celebrations in residential sectors.
- Raksha Bandhan (Aug): A sibling-focused festival with gift-giving and family gatherings. Markets buzz with activity in the days leading up to it.
- Janmashtami (Aug): Krishna's birthday celebrated with midnight prayers, Dahi Handi (human pyramids), and temple visits. ISKCON Temple in East of Kailash and Sector 33 are particularly vibrant.
September–October
- Navratri/Durga Puja (Sep–Oct): Nine nights of dance, devotion, and festivity. CR Park in Delhi is NCR's Durga Puja capital — the pandals are extraordinary. Garba/Dandiya events are held across Noida's clubs and community centres.
- Dussehra (Oct): Massive Ravana effigies are burned across Delhi NCR. The Ramlila Maidan event in Old Delhi is the most famous, attended by the President of India.
- Comic Con India (Oct): India's biggest pop culture event at NSIC Grounds. Cosplay, comics, gaming, anime, and merchandise. Day passes around ₹500–1,000.
November
- Diwali (Nov): The festival of lights is NCR's grandest celebration. Markets are illuminated, homes are decorated, and the night sky fills with fireworks and diyas. The days before Diwali are ideal for shopping at Sarojini Nagar, Chandni Chowk, and Noida's Atta Market.
- India International Trade Fair (14–27 Nov): Held at Pragati Maidan, this massive exhibition showcases products from every Indian state and international participants. It's a shopping and cultural experience in one.
December
- Christmas & New Year: While not a traditional Indian festival, Christmas is enthusiastically celebrated in NCR. Church services at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Christmas markets at Select CityWalk, and elaborate New Year's Eve parties at Noida's restaurants and hotels make December festive.
- Delhi International Film Festival (Dec): Independent and international cinema screened across venues in Delhi. Cinephiles shouldn't miss it.
